Aside from the general power boost games get from running in backwards compatibility mode, Blood Dragon Classic Edition does not appear to be one of the special games like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, or even Ubisoft’s own Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that run significantly better on the new hardware in backwards compatibility mode. An ESRB listing for the game does list PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, but it’s not clear if they will see the light of day. However, it appears as though there is only a version for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, meaning there’s no native PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S edition. Those who haven’t purchased the Far Cry 6 season pass can pick it up for $14.99. In September, the company gave a vague December release window for the remaster of ’80s-infused shooter, but still no specific date. Back in June, Ubisoft revealed that Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Classic Edition was going to be included in Far Cry 6‘s season pass, but never announced when it was coming out.
